Mug Workshop

In this workshop you will learn how to create a ceramic mug using the pinch method. You will receive enough clay to make two mugs. After refining the shape of your mugs, you will have the opportunity to add a personal touch by creating a unique handle to attach and choosing one of the studio glazes. After the workshop, your pieces will be fired and ready to pick up from the studio within 2 weeks. All materials and supplies are included.

Anelisse Boyd

ABOUT THE TEACHER

Anelisse is a Dallas based ceramic artist. She initially got started in ceramics in 2018 with hand building and sculpture. Over the last 5 years she's made her way through various techniques of ceramics such as wheel throwing, glaze chemistry formulation, and working with wild clay collected from different parts of the world.

Her approach is based in the idea that ceramics reflect the way we view our life and she is fascinated by how a humble piece of dirt has the potential to become an object that carries essential elements like water, food, and light.

Her pieces keep the character of being made by hand, leaving traces of the moment they were made. She works with simple colors and forms which allows her work to subtly elevate the room they are brought into.
